The bar provides a perfect setting to relax any time of the day or evening serves an array of cocktails and healthy drinks.

By night, tables are set beneath the stars and lit with lanterns and candlelight. Fresh ingredients are sourced from the resort’s own gardens and an emphasis is on seafood from the Fijian waters.

Activities at Vatulele

The crystal waters of Vatulele invite every kind of water-based activity, including sailing, paddling, snorkeling, fishing, and diving.

Even swimming takes on a new dimension here. For those who are even more active, there is a tennis court.

Our guides will take you on hikes into the jungle, where you can learn about native plant medicines, see ancient petoglyphs, visit important archaeological sites, swim in underground caves, or visit the unique home of the Red Prawns.

You can also arrange the ultimate picnics on a secluded beach away from the resort, or even reserve your own island for a special romantic interlude.

Vatulele is recognized as one of the premier dive destinations of the region and is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort.

With two PADI instructors and a PADI Course Director on staff the resort offers a variety of courses, including Discover Scuba Diving for those who have never tried diving and Advanced or Specialty Courses for those already certified.

If you have ever thought about diving this is the best location to try it! After watching a short video showing the basics of scuba diving, you will join your instructor in shallow water to learn the use of scuba equipment and practice a few skills.

This is followed by a dive on the reef where you will be able to see exotic marine life like turtles, eagle rays, anemone fish, butterfly fish and many more.

The Discover Scuba Diving course is not a full certification course, but enables you to dive with a PADI professional to a depth of 12m/40ft during your vacation at Vatulele and can be credited towards the PADI open water course in the future.

 

For many career-minded couples, organizing a wedding takes such enormous effort that the idea of 'eloping' can be very attractive, especially when the wedding can take place on the romantic beach front of Vatulele.

The service is usually held on the beach at sunset. Traditionally dressed Fijian warriors accompany the bride and children toss flower petals in the sand as she is carried in to take her vows.

The ceremony is accompanies by the mellow voices of a village choir raised in sublime harmony.

All guests are often invited to participate in your champagne toast, the traditional Kava ceremony, a native feast, and later enjoy the villagers' genuine ceremonial dances. For all concerned, a Vatulele wedding is a fantasy of a lifetime come true.

 

Grand Wedding Package

After the ceremony

• Candlelit dinner with menu specially created by our Executive Chef on wedding night with fine wine

• Shipment of wedding certificate from Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Tapa tube for the certificate
• Champagne breakfast the morning after the wedding

Documentation and Registration

On the day of transfer to Vatulele a member of our Nadi office staff will arrange to meet clients (at a time and place to be confirmed at the time of booking).
They will transport guests to the Registry office to complete the application for the Wedding License.
A current passport, original birth certificate, and proof or annulment (if previously married) is required.
NB the wedding must occur within 28 days of the application.
Once the actual service has taken place, the island will forward your signed documents to the mainland for processing.
Copies of the original Wedding Certificate will be mailed to guests approximately 4 weeks from this date.
A processing fee is charged to ensure that the Wedding Certificate is issued within this period. There is a cost of this service, please ask our office staff for further details at the time of registration.

Wedding Date and Minium Stay

The wedding service is usually held towards the end of the couples stay, however the exact date of the wedding service cannot be guaranteed due to the availability of the Minister/ Celebrant and subject to weather conditions.

Requests for particular dates, however, will be taken into account and met, where possible. The resort is unable to conduct a weekend wedding service.

 

Romantic Sunset Dinner on the White Sand Beach

Whether you have your wedding at Vatulele or somewhere else indulge the two of you with a very very romantic sunset dinner on the beach.

Candlelight and the last rays of the sun glowing on the horizon provide the perfect mood for your private intimate dinner.

Take the time to sit down and talk to your hosts (Grant & Deb) and the staff, go snorkeling, scuba diving, have a massage and do my new favorite thing, Paddle boarding!

Or, take a long walk on the beach, I timed it, from out my front door and back was a solid 45 minutes of pure beautiful white sand in my toes!
 
You must go to the village Church on Sunday, I did not understand a word (its in Fijian) but you will feel the message and devotion that so abounds in Fiji.

Stay after Church and play with the kids, they are a just full of life! The Spirit of Bula at it's best!

I have always loved the Bures, they each have a private sandy path to the beach.+ stocked wine fridge + flat screen (DVD's available) + robes + an absolutely beautiful bed.

The bures are about 90 feet apart and you have total privacy - yes, total privacy. All of the staff members from the grounds crew to my bure gal where just wonderful!

You will be sorry to leave - Grant asked me if I would come back - I answered with "offer me a job". I will do ANYTHING!"
