Yasawa Island Resort

These are the islands first sighted by Captain Bligh on his epic voyage in the Bounty's longboat, the islands where ancient rock inscriptions have been found, and where twenty islands have a population of almost five thousand Fijian villagers living the traditional island life.

Yasawa Island are the idyllic and incredibly photogenic islands where the original "Blue Lagoon" films were photographed in the 1940's and 1980.

It takes just 35 minutes by aircraft from Nadi's airport to Yasawa Island Resort's own airstrip. There are spectacular views of the reefs, lagoons and islands of the Yasawa group along the way. Yasawa Island is the main island in the group, and is 22 km long and less than 1 km wide.

Eighteen secluded one and two bedroom bures are nestled amidst lush gardens on the edge of a long sandy beach.

Bures are constructed and decorated in contemporary Fijian style. Made of local timber and thatched roofs, interiors include overhead fans, planatation shutters and traditional Fijian art.

Each bures features air conditioning, an outdoor shower, a private thatched beach hut and a hammock strung between the palm trees.
